Thank you, Jack Ü

A major announcement made waves through the EDM community this weekend. In a tweet which has since deleted, Skrillex hinted at a prolonged touring hiatus for the duo project, Jack Ü:

Just did our Last jack Ü festivals of 2016 …and for a long long time. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 thank you for all the people who came out to support us

— SKRILLEX (@Skrillex) August 28, 2016

This comes at the closing stages of 2016's summer festival season and we were blessed with backstage access to their penultimate set at Leeds festival.

Having successfully cemented their legacy as a fully fledged duo in the music scene, Diplo and Skrillex are set to part ways in a move that would lead one to believe that they're wanting to pursue the long anticipated Jack Ü EP that was initially promised during the spring.

This was further made likely with the fact that their final set comprised of never before heard material. We would not be surprised if we catch wind that either (or both) of the pair are set to release an album coinciding with the new year, or next tour season. Stay tuned for updates on this story.
